<td><strong><font color="#0000ff">1. 引擎突破V2極限</font></strong> - 比起標準版,R版在10,500rpm的活塞移動速度,由每秒22.4米增加至每秒23.8米。數值和08年ZX-10R在13,000rpm一樣。留意1098R是V2引擎,活塞的體積比起直四汽缸的ZX-10R大得多,但仍可以做到相同秒速,說明Ducati的確把1098R tune得很盡。 <strong><font color="#0000ff">2. 馬路上用不到的DTC</font></strong> - 由Ducati賽車部門直接移植出來的Ducati Traction Control牽引力控制系統,必需連同賽車專用的ECU和競技專用的死氣喉一併使用。如果使用街道版的ECU和死氣喉,後果是燒壞死氣喉內的催化器。原因是當DTC系統介入時,雖然停止了點火,但燃油其實繼續在供應,多餘的燃油離開燃燒室進入高溫的排氣系統後便會燃燒,催化器便會提早報銷。

<td width="760" colspan="3"><strong><font color="#0000ff">3. 有了DTC,是否可以令我圈速更快?</font></strong>
客觀的答案是視乎你把系統調較在那一個敏感程度上。系統由最不敏感的「1」到最敏感的「8」。DTC的操作原理是當探測車身在傾斜的情況下,頭尾輪的轉速有否出差異 。 因為當車身傾斜時,線條較頭胎「圓」的尾胎,它的「有效圓周」會開始縮少。所以如果把DTC調得較為敏感的話,即使輪胎未出現空轉,DTC系統都會介入cut火。在這情況下,DTC可否令你圈速更快?當然不會。
<strong><font color="#0000ff">4. 有了DTC,是否可以幫助我不會再遭受 high-side的威脅?
</font></strong>根據海外試車員的口供,表示即示系統調較至「4」,也不會出現high-side情況,因為尾胎根本不會打滑。但如果把DTC調至「1」或「2」的話,系統是容許尾輪有一定程度的空轉打滑。當尾輪在車身傾斜時打滑,而你又突然收油的話,當尾輪停止打滑回復抓地力的話,便會出現high-side情況,把你拋上半空也絕不出奇。

為了讓1098 F08在賽道上穩操勝券,得吉利在08年度SBK賽季前,趕緊推出了1098R終極加強版本。1098R使用的Testastretta引擎經重新設計,雙氣缸活塞的衝程不變,但缸徑加大至106mm,使到R版的總排氣量由普通版的1099c.c.增至現有的1198c.c.。 盤頂改由鎂合金壓鑄而成,殼壁部分比舊款更薄更輕,同時造就了更高抗性的表現。為了提高吸排氣效率,新車的生死氣哇佬至哇佬腳皆以鈦合金製造,氣批的角度也重新調整,並從MotoGP移值下來的Desmodromic系統管理,確保開合時間準確無誤。引擎的壓縮比高至12.8:1,使最高馬力去到180匹,扭力更是瘋狂的13.7公斤米! 波箱方面,1098R與1098大致相若。但因應R版馬力輸出加強,六檔的減速比有所提高,而且用上更高質的鋼材鑄造,在高速飛馳時有更穩定的表現。V盤引擎所帶來的Engine Brake非常大,為了減低車手在高速時拖波所帶來的不穩,得吉利為1098R裝上一套防鎖死極力子系統,讓車手可以更放心地入彎。

<td>將最高馬力推至180匹,R版原廠奉上的二出一出二碳纖死氣喉和專利ECU微型電腦應記一功!102分貝不算吵耳,反而帶來超跑應有的咆哮聲。DTC(Ducati Traction Control)系統則是首度應用在得吉利的市售車身上,提供多達8種不同風格的供油模式以供選擇,車主可因應不同賽道、天氣狀況去選擇最適合自己的供油程式。 R版乾重只有165kg(對,沒有寫錯!)比新款848還要輕!!除了有賴引擎減磅和放棄尾Seat外,車上如頭沙板、Cam帶蓋等均用上碳纖物料製造,高貴且實用的Marchesini鍛造輪圈更是價值連城。
尊貴的1098R配上Ohlins市售最頂級的TTX單筒尾避震,除了高低速油壓、預載等基本調較功能外,還可以調較車身坐高,改變前傾角。直徑43mm倒立頭Fork當然也是出自O記手筆,鍍上鈦合金氮化物的Fork芯可減低本身阻力,讓車手得到的路面訊息更為清晰。

<td width="380">面對1098R,任何人都必需嚴陣以待。iBike海外特約試車員 - 沙僧也不例外,今次特意找來英國人氣前motogp車手<font face="Arial "><font color="#0000ff"><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_McWilliams" target="_blank">Jeremy McWilliams</a></font></font>主理今次試車。在數天前因玩snowboard受傷,臉上還掛著一個黑眼圈的Jeremy,對於1098R發表了以下報告 : 在聽完Ducati工作人員對1098R的技術講解之後,我發現1098R絕對是一臺純種賽車。它和現正參戰SBK的廠車非常接近:引擎曲軸箱、鈦合金連桿、搖臂用料全部相同。只是曲軸、飛輪和活塞重量稍有不同,當然波箱齒輪比率也有不同。
相比起998R和1098,1098R竟然可以大幅減重,分別多達16kg和6kg之多!單是引擎便輕了2.2kg!其他用料全以高剛性輕量化為主,引擎構件採用大量鈦合金製作,副車架也捨棄鋼管而改用鋁合金製作。死氣喉也是鈦合金製作。
1098R的懸掛系統全是OHINS製品。尾避震採用了OHLINS最新的TTX36,是賽道上的寶物。OHLINS製品上的TT代表Twin Tubes雙管道,受壓和回彈的油壓衰減行程採用獨立兩條油路管道運作,確保調整受壓或回彈時不會互相影響,從而可以調較和創造出更多變化和更精確的避震特性。避震內的氣壓Bar數也由12bar大幅減低至6 Bar,減低汽渦現象,將來維修也更方便快捷。
本人體重是70公斤,騎上1098R後只需要輕微調較一下頭尾避震便可以了。我的調整紀錄是頭叉預載調高一圈,以應付我在全力急煞時的需要。尾避震預載也要調高一點,以應付1098R兇猛的加速力。尾避震的受壓也調高了兩格,希望出彎時可以更容易把尾輪固定在適合的線位上。

<td width="380"><strong><font color="#0000ff">聰明的牽引力調較系統</font></strong> 1098R跟車附送一套賽車專用部品,包括ECU引擎管理系統和碳纖尾喉。這份ECU可以對1098R的DTC牽引力系統,作出多達八段的調較。
數字越高,電子介入管理的效果越明顯。「1」是ECU對尾輪作出最低程度的管制。我們試車是DTC是預設在「4」。如果在雪地上駕駛的話,便最好DTC系統調整為「8」了。Ducati在SBK和MOTOGP的廠車,都是使用這套DTC牽引力控制系統。
調較DTC介入的程度是相當容易的一件事。只需把車停定,然後直接在錶板上調較便可。
我把數值由「4」下調至「2」,效果是相當明顯的,尾輪馬上可以多一些自由轉動。在DTC設定在「4」的情況下,在彎中質油你馬上會感動DTC介入,扭力下降讓傾斜中的尾輪不會打滑。但扭力不會突然大幅下跌讓你無所適從,聰明的DTC系統只是稍為切入阻止尾輪打滑。
如果騎士堅持不縮油的話,1098R仍然繼續讓尾輪再打滑多一點點才再切入讓尾輪重新咬地。有了DTC的幫助,即使油門操控過於進取,也可以減低被大馬力反撲所造成的high-side事故。

<td width="380">有了聰明的DTC系統,在濕地上駕駛馬力龐大的1098R,更加得心應手。值得一讚的是,DTC雖然會比較頭尾輪的轉動情況,當尾輪比前輪轉得快時,便會引起DTC的注意,準備介入減低尾輪的動力。 駕駛1098R如果要發生事故,都應該會是甩頭或low-side,而不會是破壞力驚人的high-side。 但這聰明的DTC系統卻不會影響wheelie。我得補充一句,扭力強橫的1098R是一臺相當容易和相當喜歡起頭的電單車。只要你願意,它便會一直保持單輪行車。我試過長距離起頭行車,頭輪差不多停止轉動,但DTC系統也沒有介入。認真醒目呢! 1098R另一項令人折服的地方,是它的slipper clutch。現在很多跑車都裝有slipper clutch,這種當極力子片逆向轉動時會打滑的極力子,能有效地防止尾輪在急速拖波退檔時出現鎖轆現象。而1098R所配備的slipper clutch則是我嘗過最美妙的逆向打滑式極力子。 你能想像當引擎轉數在10,500rpm時,不拉極力子桿由五波快速退回二波的情景嗎?引擎沒有因退檔而超出安全轉數,也沒有出現鎖轆情況。引擎牽引力恰到好處,拖波時頭擔增加負重比例的變化也相當理想。

<td width="380">我在Jerez賽道上測試生產性電單車的圈速紀錄是1分53秒。騎在1098R身上,加上DTC系統的幫忙,我可以輕易地造出1分51秒的圈速成績,而我還未把懸掛認真調好,也只是用胎紋的道路輪胎而非slick胎呢!
無論你是否喜歡Ducati或是它的V2/L2汽缸,你都不得不承認1098R的13.7kg-m扭力實在來得無聲無息,毫無先兆。對於一般人來說實在需要時間適應這份扭力和180匹馬力。為了保護引擎活瓣,1098R如果轉數過了安全極限會馬上cut火保護引擎。這安全設備令1098R的引擎可以行駛12000英里才需進行例行保養。</td>

<td width="760" colspan="3">事實上要把1098R開得快,轉數並不是越高便越好。起初我經常保持在10,500rpm,圈速時間不是太好。因為一二波太短,三至六波才略為長氣。為了保持高轉數我在二波停留的時間長了,反而拖慢了圈速。當我決定把轉數保持在7000-10,000rpm之間時,留在二波的時間少了,我的圈速也錄得1.5秒的進步!</td></tr>

1098R有最Ducati性感的外型,也有無聲無色的狂野力量。最佳的尾輪牽引力控制系統和逆向轉動會打滑的slipper clutch。缺點主要是一波和二波太短,長氣多一點會更好。幾乎無用的後鏡。最後一點,當然是它的售價....對普通人來說造成很大阻力。</td>
